This boy is so much like his daddy- not just in looks! He is a brain and remembers most everything (except mom's age apparently). He told me yesterday that Kyson (his cousin) had a book called Fred's Big Red Sled and he wanted to take it with him but his mom said no and he stomped on the stairs. It was when it was snowing. He does things like this often. He loves to read books with anyone that will read with him. He is obsessed with animals and animal facts, so Wild Kratts and Ranger Rick Jr magazine have been great.

He loves to run and play with friends. I would say in the last 6 months he has gotten better at playing with friends or his brother as opposed to playing in close proximity to them. This makes mom's heart happy. :)

Eli is the most aware of our move, naturally. He has said several times that he isn't going to miss our Salina house, just our Salina friends. He thinks because we live in the same town as Grace (our dear friend that lives just down the street) that we should get to see her whenever we want. He has acted kind of hyper and nervous a few times, but overall is doing really well.

A few things he says wrong yet are the words ever and never. For example, "I ever get tired in the night or in the morning." He gets his B's and V's mixed up like on the word vacation.

He has a mind of his own. He has asked Brent and I on several occasions, "what if the Bible said parents, obey your children" and "what if God didn't make angels". Many questions are beyond me and I say, "ask your dad when he gets home". Ha!

Eli has told me several times that he never (or ever as he says) wants to get married and move away. He wants to stay in mom and dad's house forever and never wants to go to school. It really is sweet. I think it highlights his dislike of the unknown. I wouldn't call him adventurous, but he is getting more brave as he gets older. He told me the other day that when he grows up he is going to be a construction guy, because he likes to build, but he's going to come eat lunch with me and we can do activities in the afternoon or take a nap. Micah is going to do the same thing.

Some of Eli's favorite things to do are wrestle his daddy, run and run and run, make his sister and brother laugh by doing silly things, watch Wild Kratts, Bugs Bunny, or American Ninja Warrior. He likes pretending to be on American Ninja Warrior by jumping from different pieces of furniture and climbing different things.

Eli and I have started doing preschool at home with ABC Jesus Loves Me (thanks Heidi) and so far so good. He is a sponge and it will be fun to see him progress through the year.

I think that about sums it up. We sure love our big big boy!

Haddie- 7 months

Haddie celebrated her month birthday by getting a mosquito bite right in the middle of her forehead.
Our sweet girl turned 7 months last week. I'm a bit late in posting, but I'm sure Haddie will forgive me. :)
That tongue...

Haddie continues to be a wonderful baby. Especially for mom. She is not a fan of nursery, or other people in general. She does okay with daddy and loves to watch her brothers play. She slobbers a lot and poops on her clothes almost once a day (despite being in size 4 diapers. It's just part of it now.
Look at those baby legs!

She continues to roll around a lot to get to her toys but hasn't shown many signs of being close to crawling. She does sit up pretty well now.

She is so loved and adored by her big brothers.
Haddie went on her first trip to visit our Oklahoma friends. She did great the whole time we were there and was adored by lots of "big kids". We all had a wonderful time.

We still haven't started baby food. I anticipate that will happen before her 8 month post. Micah has started calling Haddie by her name (instead of baby) and it comes out sounding "hadjoy". It's the sweetest. Eli still calls her "sugar bacon". Love our sweet babes.

How could I not include this one. :) Love her- every single roll!
Here's Eli and Micah at 7 months.

Haddie- 6 months

Haddie has been such a trooper this past month. She has been in the car between Buhler and Salina more times than I care to count and has done it with much grace. She continues to be an easy-going baby, especially when someone she loves is close by. When she is left in a room by herself, she isn't thrilled. She has adjusted to sleeping in her new room and house pretty well. The bed-time routine still could be a bit smoother, but once she is asleep she is asleep for the night, so I won't complain.

This past month, Haddie has started to roll a lot! (Also, she has a lot of rolls on her body, but that's another story.) She rolls both ways and uses it to get around. She also has started to scoot a little on her belly. I think the new carpet as helped with this as we didn't have much carpet in our old house. She can sit up for a few seconds at a time. I think we will be starting food sometime soon because whenever we are eating as a family, she moves her mouth like she is eating too. I think she is ready. :)
I wish this was one clearer, but this shows how she smiles with her whole face.

We had some special friends come for a visit over the 4th of July. They are friends from Tabor and it has become such a special reunion every year. So Haddie got to meet her friend-cousins and aunts and uncles for the first time (Garcias and Anensons).

Haddie loves to chew on toys, her hands, her feet, her dress- pretty much anything. She laughs when her brothers "rawer" at her and when she is tickeled around her collar bone. She also will laugh when her brothers talk to her and they love it.

Look at those arm rolls! Love them!
