Micah- 2 months

Where did the last 4 weeks go?

My baby is 2 months old today.

In the last month...
-He took his first trip to Colorado and did wonderfully.
-Is wearing cloth diapers.
-Is starting to coo and smile.
-Has started interacting with his big brother (which in turn melts my heart).
-Eats every 3 hours during the day and will go 5-8 hours at night.
-He's super strong (way stronger than his brother was at this age). If his feet touch any surface he stiffens up and wants to stand. He rolled over from his back to tummy once (although I don't consider it to be his first roll because it wasn't a completely flat surface). If he's awake and laying down he's trying to scoot and move.

Stats:
Height- 22.5in (22%)
Weight- 11lbs 10oz (30%)

And if you're interested in comparing the Wichert brother's looks, here's the link to Eli's 2 month pics and stats.

My teacher friend (from Muskogee) made this sweet quilt for Micah. Thanks, Catherine I think he likes it!

Wertenberger Family Vacation 2014

Estes Park - Glacier Lodge

And for the photo dump...

We left early Friday morning so we could catch up with a few friends that are in the Denver area. This is Jeff and Sarah. (The early morning should explain our appearance, right?)

And we saw our friends John & Shayley (and Layla & Brody). We were a little out of it at this point, and thankfully Shay took this picture otherwise I wouldn't have any!

On the way up the mountain.

Eli throwing rocks in the river right outside our cabin.

Rhett and my dad playing some ball.

Hike time! About half of the group made it all the way up to the top of the mountain.

Probably my new favorite photo.

Brent and Eli

Swim time! And might I add that it was quite cool outside- good thing the pool was heated, but I still think they were crazy to get in.

Eat time.

Tynlee, Grandma, and Micah

More swimming- I had to put on a coat to take this picture.

Warming up after swimming- Rhett, Tyler, Drew & Leah

Go Fish

Dog pile!!!

The 3 big boys...how can they already be THIS big?!

Eli and Daddy climbing rocks.

Mountain number 2- this one we took a tram up half way and then hiked the rest.

Eli, Drew, Kyson, Rhett

Just playing some put-put.

And turns out...he hated it.

So blessed to be a part of this family.

Happy Father's Day

On Father's Day, I've started (the last 3 years) trying to take updated picture of our kids for Brent's office. In this case, it will be Micah's first pictures in Brent's office (poor baby). The following 3 are some of the better ones...man it's hard taking pictures of a 2 1/2 year old.

Happy Father's day to the very first father I knew. I love you so much and you will always be larger than life to me (and not just because you're tall). I love how you value family so much and instilled in us the values of team work and hard work. Thanks for making me always feel like your little girl.

And to father who raised my husband- thank you for raising Brent to be a man and for giving him your sense of humor.

And to the father of my children- oh how I love watching you be a daddy. I am thankful every day that our boys get to have you as their daddy. Thanks for always making us a priority and for leading our family to follow Christ. I love you!
